The author we are bringing in is Ben Mikaelsen, a winner of the International Reading Association Award and the Western Writer's Golden Spur Aw...

The author we are bringing in is Ben Mikaelsen, a winner of the International Reading Association Award and the Western Writer's Golden Spur Award. His novels have been nominated to and have won many State Readers Choice awards, including Nebraska's Golden Sower Award. Ben speaks about "Becoming the author of your life", and we have targeted 4th and 5th graders. We would like to invite those students at your school, as well as the 4th and 5th graders from Hemingford, St. Agnes, Hyannis, and Mullen if they choose to attend. What we need from your school district is a venue to hold this number of students. I have talked to Allison Roberts, and she has told me your auditorium could more than hold the number of students we are thinking would attend. The date is set for Monday, October 14th at 9:30 am, and would last approximately one hour.

We are the Western Library System, funded from the Nebraska Library Commission with both state and federal funds.
